Angie and Amber were transported to the Realm of Magic, where anything and everything happens...
Analae had to tell Amber everything, from the nemesis to how magic is really real. She led her to her old hideout. It was a treehouse, and when Amber commented on it, Analae let her in on a few secrets.
"See those slits?" she asked, looking at Amber. "Those are where I fire arrows, like in a castle. And tree houses have the advantage of being secret. People never look up. And finally it keeps the bears and minotaurs out." "Minotaurs?" "Yep," came a calm answer. Amber climbed the tree really quickly.
When Amber went to the very top she took off her shoes and socks and just walked on the planks of the treehouse barefoot, until she heard a sproioioioioing! She looked back and saw a plank.
It had split in two and something had started to grow. It had sprouted several leaves and a shoot had risen from the wood-dirty wood. "Analae?" Amber asked. Analae came up. "Can you explain that?" she pointed to the green thing in the middle of the floor. Analae was surprised. "You didn't tell me you had powers!" Amber had been told about them by Analae, but... "What?" "You obviously have the power of Nature! There must have been a seed on the dirt." "WHAT?" Analae looked thoughtful. "So you really didn't know, huh?" she asked. "Well, you couldn't do it as well on Earth of course, so I guess..." Then she straightened up again. "Come with me," she commanded. "I want to know who you really are." A bewildered Amber followed a tall Analae and into a small treehouse room. "I only have two of these," she explained. "Not enough room." She had Amber look into a white ball on a chain- "The only fancy thing I own"- and saw this:
IVY AMBER TREELEAF
NATURE
ONE OF THE ADOPTED ONES
"What do you see?" Analae was craning her neck for a better look. Amber told her. Now it was Angie's time to say "Wha?" "Well, that's what it says," said Amber. "You're a Treeleaf? I thought that family had died out! It was the most powerful Nature Power family ever..." Finally Analae got over it. "Okay... while you're here we should do some training."
And that's what they did, for almost a month. They practiced swordfighting, which newly renamed Ivy was surprisingly good at-"Hereditary"-and archery, and everything else too. Amber-sorry, Ivy- practiced her power. Then one day the went on a walk and saw two people fighting a huge minotaur!
"They don't stand a chance against it!" Analae exclaimed. "Let's go help them!" So they ran into the fight, Ivy tossing a dagger to one of the other people who seemed to be unarmed. Eventually they beat the minotaur, but Ivy's mind was on something else. "Jenna?" Angie's mind wasn't far off. "Achilla?" They stood there for a minute before Analae said, "We should go- something might come, maybe worse than the minotaur." They ran to the treehouse. When they were safely under the branches of the tree everyone spoke at once. "We were looking all over for you-" "Where have you been?" "Wait you have a lost sister too?" In a while they got it all figured out, but in a while. Achilla hugged Analae, Ivy hugged Jenna, and each brought news of all the things that had happened while the other was gone. Achilla said, sadly, "Natalai got lost in the forest." There was a sudden silence. "I'm so sorry," said Jenna quietly. "Don't worry, It will be all right." Jenna Looked at Ivy. "Amber, why haven't you told me your real name?" Ivy looked at Jenna. "I could ask you the same thing." Jenna Looked at Ivy "Ivy, My real name is Dawn." Ivy Looked at Dawn "See? It's alright, But I never told you because I didn't want you to laugh at me." Dawn looked at Ivy and said, "I wouldn't have laughed." Ivy smiled. "Thanks Dawn."
"Ivy and Analae, why don't you guys stay here. I have to show something to Dawn,” Achilla said and stood. Dawn followed.
“Where are we going?” Dawn asked.
“You'll see” Achilla said and led Dawn down a short hall way and into a room with vines covering the walls. There were pots full of blooming flowers, a small pond, and a golden chain in the middle with a white ball hanging from the end.
"What is Achilla showing Dawn?" Ivy asked. Analae looked worried, a frown creasing her forehead. "I don't know, Ivy. I don't know."
A few minutes later, Ivy started convulsing. Her eyes widened as far as they could possibly go and her pulse slowed down. "IVY!" Analae yelled. Ivy saw, as if through water...
She saw as the woman in black approached Dawn. She knew somehow that Dawn saw her as a beautiful young woman, but in reality, she was an old witch, casting an enchantment on her. She saw, desperately trying to move, to help her, as the person cast the spell to make the vines grow. They covered her up to her head, and she spoke. Ivy strained her ears, trying to hear her. But she could not.
Suddenly it ended. Ivy looked up. "Ivy!" Analae said. "You're alive!" Ivy jerked her head when she realized it. "I'm not so sure," she answered, quietly, eyes still wide. "At least, not for long."
