It was my first night here in Bayaux. I tossed and turned for a while, but I finally got up and, grabbing my backpack of supplies and bow and arrows, I slipped out the door into the hallway and out of the Great Walls of the Fortress at Bayaux. They had built it a long time ago.
Outside the fortress I made for the forest, taking out my compass. I needed to go east, past Bayaux. I wait for a second, then I said, "Amy?" she came out from behind the tree. "You didn't think you could go without me, did you?" she asked. I shook my head and smiled, a little sadly. "Amy, this will be dangerous. Are you sure?" She nods, and we set off for the Ruins.
Branan. Seitheach. And Guaire. They were all there.
And I was going there, with Amy.
We were going to win.
We had to.
